About Us
We are a team of researchers and designers based in the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, dedicated to creating positive social change for young people in a world that is constantly evolving. We are especially passionate about the tangible effects our research can have and the ways in which our designs can shape a better future for children.
Specifically, our projects primarily reside at the intersection of Child-Computer Interaction, Design, and Learning Sciences. For instance, we investigate new and engaging ways for young children to learn about computing in a fun manner, craft educational technologies that foster captivating and inclusive learning environments, and examine the influence of social contexts on children’s learning experiences. Additionally, some of our efforts expand beyond educational settings to encompass a wider scope of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research, such as critical evaluations of design research methods in children’s contexts and tackling the challenges that arise from the integration of technology into daily life.
